Joe Kacevich - Director

Joe Kacevich graduated from Springfield College, where he captained the Football Team. He then embarked on a ten year career coaching football, men's lacrosse and track and field at several prestigious colleges and universities in the Northeast.

He earned a Master's degree from The Pennsylvania State University, where he served as a Graduate Assistant Football Coach under the legendary Joe Paterno and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study from Springfield College.

Joe co-founded the Northborough Southborough Girls Lacrosse Program in 1999, which quickly became the second largest in Massachusetts. He is a Board member of the Massachusetts Bay Girls Lacrosse League (MBGLL) and, as New Programs Director, assists towns and cities throughout the state in establishing new youth lacrosse programs. Joe coached in the NESLL Program for 2 years and lead the 2002 Bay State Games Central Mass Team to the silver medal.

Joe also founded the popular Sticks In!! Lacrosse clinics, which focus on instructing girls of all age groups and abilities in lacrosse fundamentals. He believes that the game of lacrosse offers girls the opportunity to learn the importance of teamwork in their every day lives and future careers.


Lauryn Serratore - Gold Team Coach

Coach Serratore is the Head Women’s Lacrosse coach at Anna Maria College. Coach Serratore earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Bridgewater State in 2008 and is currently working for Marathon Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine in Norwood, MA.

After graduating from Norwood High School, Coach Serratore attended Merrimack College where she played two seasons of varsity lacrosse at the Division II level. During that time, she helped to lead the Warriors to consecutive NE-10 Championship appearances in 2005 and 2006.

Serratore then transferred to Bridgewater State University where she was a two-year varsity standout. She was selected as the 2007 Team Offensive Player of the Year as well as the 2008 Team Player of the Year, earning a spot on the 2008 All-NEWLA Second Team. In addition to setting the program’s single season record for draw controls, Serratore helped lead the Bears to two ECAC Tournament appearances (‘07 and ’08), and the 2008 NEWLA Championship Title with a convincing 21-9 win over Castleton State.


Loretta White - Gold Team Coach

Loretta White is in her first year of coaching with Central Mass Club Lacrosse. Loretta graduated from Wellesley College in 2010, where she was an economics major and a psychology minor. She was four-year member of the soccer and lacrosse teams, as well as the Vice President of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

Her accolades in lacrosse include:

  • IWLCA Division III First Team All Region 2010; Second Team 2009 & 2008
  • First Team NEWMAC All-Conference 2010, 2009 & 2008; Second Team 2007

Loretta was also a four-year starting defender for the soccer team, and was captain in her senior year.

She believes that lacrosse provides an environment for girls to embrace their competitiveness, demonstrate their leadership, appreciate the importance of teamwork, and build confidence that will they will carry with them both on and off the field.


Melissa Callender - Middle School Team Coach

Melissa has 20 years coaching experience at both the College and High School level. She is a full-time Physical Education/Wellness teacher at Westborough High School and is a certified Youth Fitness Specialist. Melissa is currently the Varsity Lacrosse coach and the JV Field hockey coach at Wachusett Regional High School. Melissa is also the co-owner and Director of Lacrosse of We Teach Both - WTB - which is an organization teaching field hockey and lacrosse to girls in grades K-9


Rebecca Maxfield - Middle School Team Coach

Rebecca Maxfield graduated with an undergraduate degree in psychology from Worcester State University where she captained the Varsity Lacrosse Team. During her 3 years playing for Worcester State University, Rebecca Maxfield set school records for draw control and in her senior year she lead her team in assists. During her career at Worcester State University, she aided the Lancers in two 3rd places finishes in the NEWLA conference. Rebecca earned a Masters degree in Severe Special Education from Simmons College and continues her education at Endicott College where she is studying Applied Behavior Analysis.


Kerry Berry - Middle School Team Coach

Kerry has 12 years coaching experience in both Field hockey and Lacrosse. She is a certified Physical Education teacher. She is presently the Varsity Field Hockey coach and JV Lacrosse coach at Wachusett Regional High School. Kerry was a 2 time All American in Field Hockey at Assumption College.Kerry is also the co-owner and Director of Field Hockey of We Teach Both - WTB - which is an organization teaching field hockey and lacrosse to girls in grades K-9.


Courtney McKallagat - Middle School Team Coach

Courtney graduated from Worcester State University, where she was a standout attack player until an injury lead her to play goalie her senior season. Despite this injury she became a national ranked goalie during her senior season, helping lead her team to a third place finish in the conference tournament.

Since graduating Courtney has spent time as the Varsity lacrosse coach at The Bancroft school in Worcester and is the current Freshman coach at Algonquin Regional. She has lead her varsity teams to multiple conference tournaments and looks forward to furthering her coaching career as a club coach within the CMASS program.


Marianna Marcellino - Goaltender Coach

Mari attended Thayer Academy and was a 4 year varsity player. Mari then played Goalie for Wheaton College and made the All-Conference team her junior and senior years. She was a Tri-Captain her senior year. She was worked at the Game Breaker Camp in Hyannis, MA as well as a number of clinics at Wheaton College with girls of all ages.
